It's starting to get a little cooler out in NYC, so I thought today might be a good day to try these VEGAN cinnamon pull-aparts. This is my first food entry on the blog, and if there is one thing I simply adore in life and refuse to sacrifice on any level, it is food: good, healthy, clean, non-processed food. And, a lot of it! LOL! I found this treat on the @BestofVegan Instragram. They have soo many great recipes on their site, so go check them out. I have made finding this one easy for you! Let me know if you also make them and how they turned out! Enjoy!
Vegan Cinnamon Pull-Aparts
1/2 c Almond Milk
1/4 c Vegan Butter (I used Earth Balance)
1/2 Packet of Yeast
1/2 tbsp Organic Cane Sugar Pinch of Salt
1 1/2 c Organic Flour Cinnamon & Sugar
Directions: 1. Heat almond almond and vegan butter until melted and warm. 2. Add yeast, sugar and salt, let sit for 5-10 minutes. 3. Mix in flour until you have sticky dough. Knead dough until in one large round ball. Use a little extra flour if needed. 4. Cover dough and proof (keep in warm spot) for 30 minutes until 1 hour. 5. After proofing, roll dough on floured surface into a long rectangle. 6. Brush on a little bit of vegan butter. 7. Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar. 8. Cut dough in long thin strips. Fold each strip onto itself, cinnamon/sugar mix on inside. Slice each fold into small chunks (I cut them in around 1 inch in length pieces). 9. Place 1 inch pieces into pan. Try to choose a pan that will fit all your dough. 10. Bake at 350 for 25 – 30 minutes. Check centre pieces to see if still doughy or ready to eat! Icing Sugggaa: 2 tbsp Coconut Oil 1 c Icing Sugar 1 – 2 tbsp Almond Milk Splash of Vanilla Directions: 1. Mix cold pressed coconut oil with icing sugar, almond milk, and vanilla using a mixer. 2. Add to cinnamon pull-a-parts when hot and enjoy!
